I was good friends with some people in Vongola XI... I hope you guys can recover.
How about our guild helps their guild in recovery?

Sorry to hear about your guildies :sigh: I haven't logged into Nexon's forum for a while because of the hacking lately.

Well, I hear there's a lot of hacking going on in the East server. I KNOW there are probably plenty of hackers in West, but thank goodness not as much. That's scary, really.
I'm never going to post on the Vindictus forums on my main account now, and I'm gonna play a humble lifestyle down low. I will probably be guildless too because me and guilds don't usually mix... and I love soloing things anyways so xD Hopefully I'll never run into this.
It really sucks though. I wish you and your guild luck, that hopefully you can all still play and have fun. But if I was hacked, I'd just kind of quit to be honest.

Yeah, definitely don't post things on the forum with your main account and if you have, change your password, make a new account and use that for the forums.
Even if that isn't the reason some people are having their accounts compromized, it's one of the ways, thus you should do it to minimalize your chances.

Well, I think, as long as you don't become a legend, popular, or have any social interaction with anyone or belong to any guilds, you have 0 chance to be hacked.

I really don't think it's just popular people getting hacked. Popular people are just more likely to announce it to everyone. There's no point in hackers limiting themselves like that.

Sorry to hear your loss....
But to help everyone else, let's try to find out how the hacker work.
There do seems like several hacker at work. I noticed some hackers only take valuable items, and gold, and leave the rest (bounded) alone, and those type of hacker seems to target very randomly. While some hacker actually do a guild/friend list wipe, and sent/delete everything.
Being popular doesn't make you getting hacked, Agelia and iTim is famous for their amount of gold, but they have yet to still get hit. Being popular doesn't make you not get hacked, since a few other popular people did got hacked, so popularity has nothing to do with it. (Although Agelia and iTim probably take a lot more measure to protect their own account.)
For the hacker that's targeting random people, I have no idea how they work, but as for the guild wipe, let's try to figure that out.
Does your guild uses any sort of voice chat, or forum website? If so, do people who got hacked use the same ign and email on the forum as in the game? (And what kind of email they are using, hotmail? gmail? etc)
Like someone has mentioned before, how long was the whole hacking situation until leader is forced to disband? Or in other words, what's the period in between each hack, one hour? 6 hours? one day? (This will help us determining if the hacker still needs to crack the password after obtaining your account info, or if the hacker can easily access to your guildies' accounts simultaneously.)
Do people who get hacked run dungeons together? Not sure about how this will play out, but having extra information is always good.
Lastly, but not least, do people who get hacked uses the .exe or through the website? And do people who get hacked live on college campus?

We're not sure if anyone uses the vind forum, though I haven't been able to contact Jooni to ask him about it :C
According To Sabre, the hack was happening rather quickly but he didnt tell me any time intervals. More than one person was hacked in our guild. It kinda seemed like they where targeting us. Maybe a good deal of us were Vind forum users. I'll have to check that.
