Let's just say...I've never did a Disc Defragmentation nor Cleanup on my computer since I got it (Been nearly a year.) and now I believe it's really noticeable how slow my computer is (Lag in games with low resolution, lag in Google Chrome, lag in opening windows and etc.) so I thought it was time to do both of these. I just have one question.
Is it okay to run Programs like Google Chrome while doing Disc Defragmentation and Cleanup? I don't mind if it slows the process a bit, but I will mind if it slows it really badly or ruins it. I really feel like watching anime and playing flash games since I can't really use my downstairs computer nor play console games (It's because of my brother. All the freaking consoles are in his room and he whores me if I enter it, and he is on the downstairs computer much longer than I'm on my own computer).

I do :I
But I also defragment once a week. For you though there is gonna be sooo much to clean/defrag that the lag might be un-bearable. Just do something IRL, like take a nap!!! XD

I believe I napped enough after taking finishing exams. I always finished the tests 40 minutes before testing ended and had to either think to myself or sleep for 40 minutes straight. I took the latter route and slept and dreamed about myself in JRPGs.
Edit : Just finished Disc Cleanup. Went from 46 Gigs of free space to...104 Gigs. WHUUUUT!?

Or, play a video game or draw. Yeah that's always fun.
You reminded me how last night I did a malware check on my computer....4 infects....1 trojan. GG on me finding it though right?
I should defrag today since I've NEVER defragged this laptop and it lags like crazy in games D:

CCleaner and Defraggler. Google them, and if you have Vista, Defraggler should be a lifesaver.
CCleaner is a faster version of disc cleanup, which I use nightly. (You can choose which cookies to save, for things like the nation or youtube)
Defraggler is a good defragmentation tool.

I use Malwarebytes, it's free and really, it's useful for once a week if you go to "dirty" sites.

Start computer up.
Keep pressing F8 until a prompt comes up
Tell it to start windows in Safe Mode with Networking
Use Malwarebytes from there.

You should definitely do something about it.
This thread reminded me that I needed to defrag. Doing it now 8D.
