Wow, people have NO career goals?
My plans are more interesting i hope.
1- get a job developing video games, either as an independent developer or with a company, dont care which as long as i have full creative freedom.
2-Travel the world and use the experiences i get to develop great games.
3-Create the best games i can. Ones that will make people happy to play them, and hopefully teach them about things. Moral lessons and whatnot. But not if it makes the game unfun.
4-Make sure i have plenty of time to spend with the family ill hopefully have by then, and play video games. Not sure if i want kids, but ill figure that out later.
Retirement? That sound stupid, why would i ever want to stop making games?
Money? Fame? dont care about them. As long as I can live comfortably enough and travel to get inspiration and see new things ill be happy. Becoming famous doesn't sound that great to me, though i guess it will be a side effect of making the greatest video games of all.

Aside of getting a job that is exciting to do, nope.

It's like that everywhere.
...to some degree, sure. But some fields are far more demanding than others. Medicine and other science being at the top of the list, for example.

There's more to life than that, hence it's not listed by most people in this thread. ;d Too specific and insignificant in the grand scheme of things. But career-wise, I can't complain where I am now. Where I will be in the future I honestly don't know!

1. Be content in the major I'm switching into.
2. Finally graduate college (I should stop switching when I'm a year off from graduating buuuut I'd rather be happy in my future career than graduate with a major I don't like anymore).
3. As of right now, meet Inti in real life <3
4. Get a job as a translator or a teacher
5. Get a nice place to live
6. Pay off my student debt (eventually)
7. Married and kids <3
8. Enjoy life.

Ahh i didn't mean it like that, i just thought that when talking about there plans for life people would mention what they really want to do for there life. I see a lot of "graduate college" and "have families" but not much about what they want to work at for the rest of there lives.
Perhaps its because im already in college that im looking past the "college" part and onto my goal of making a living creating great video games people will like to play.
There are more people listing what there career goals are, but to me thats a major part of what i want to do in the future. Im learning computer programming and am going to take drawing, graphic art, computer aided design, literature and other classes that help me in my goal to be able to understand all parts of making a storyline, creating and drawing characters, programming them into a game and creating the backgrounds and dialog and story and gameplay and all that stuff. I dont want to graduate college if it means I don't learn any of this. Right now i am technically going for a computer science major, but if it restricts my classes to just ones related to programming and i cant take enough arts to learn the rest of the design process, ill switch majors to something else or just tell the college i dont care about graduating i guess.

You can always do a minor in art, or something. No one is restricting you from taking more courses, other than your own time and $. :P

^ This.
You have to do the things that'll make you happy in your career, I think a lot of people focus too much on "Oh my god I don't want to be in school forever" and rush through majors just because they want to be out of school. This is how a lot of people end up unhappy with their jobs, college is about exploring what you want for you future not "I must rush through really quickly". Take it from someone who's changed her major at least 3 times when she's been close to graduating, it's better to be happy in your future career and take your time getting there rather than being unhappy and finishing quickly.
