here are all the POSSIBLE skills i might want to rank up.
what do you suggest?? i feel kind of lost.
my stats at age 19, lvl 60, expl 21:
str = 176
int = 218
dex = 107
will = 168
thinking about it:
th 8
mm b (my max mana is 214 at age 19/lvl60/expl21)
fh 6
ranged attack f
enchant d (almost done)
bs (not learned)
other dex giving skills that cost low ap's, such as weaving and stuff.
counter b
ok. i need advice from the pros!! xD preferrably ones who capped almost everything!! xD
thunder and mm: i learned this for the sake of handi. i wanted to get tough string on my own, and i can achieve it now. i dont use thunder often, just on bosses like mata and the clones.... and after the boss is over im done with thunder for the time being. i kind of have this icky feeling that thunder 8 is just lukewarm... it's not low but it's not high~ so i don't know. im thinking about raising it to 5?? or 1?? just for the sake of making it kind of powerful~ i made it this far already.
fh: if i have nothing else i really think i want to rank up, maybe i should save up 40 ap's to get to rank 5?? i feel icky that it's at rank 6.
ranged attack: well... when people get good they're supposed to learn ranged right?? i kind of feel like it'll be a burden though. im already magic melee... what use would range be for me really?? xD ill have to carry around a bow and arrows... and my inv is cramped as it is. kind of not thinking about this...
enchant: im almost done training it at rank d... i was gonna just train it very slowly?? it would be nice to get to rank a at least. it would be delightful if i wouldn't suck entirely at burning normal burns like thief or scarecrow. my rank 5 enchanter buddy told me that most people quit at rank b so he doesn't know why people bother. i spammed alby a couple days and it SUCKED. lucky it's at rank d... i can't imagine how much a pain itll be at the higher ranks. the other thing is, i learned campfire to rank a. >.< im not really rich and i dont plan on buying es's.... especially with so much competition .... 7k per ES. >.< i can't even affford 4k lol. i dont know... should i just not rank this any higher?? cuz it's such a bich to rank?? i know it gives dex but i'd rather spend less ap's on other dex skills if you guys think this is hopeless.
bs: for making wood board for handi i need iron bars. i dont want to constantly ask my friend to make them for me, so i wanted to be self reliant and be able to make them on my own. however, iron bars are rank 9. >.< my guildie suggested i don't learn this because bs is also a bich to rank. i would hunt for them at castle but it's not built as of yet. also the drop rate isn't that high. dilemma!! also, nobody sells them really. sadness!!
other dex skills!!: rank random dex skills here and there, just for the sake of gaining dex, such as weaving and instrument playing. i know i need to work on my stupid dex... but i don't know if it's that urgent.
counter: it kind of bothers me that it's at a letter rank. b?!? it makes me feel totally noob. it does give dex... and i do ice counter fairly often. but i don't think it's very urgent either...

From an economic standpoint, if you aren't willing to buy ESs for 7k, then you don't value them at 7k. But since other people do, you should be eager to sell the ones you do get for 7k. This means stop training enchant now.
fh r6-->r5 has the huge stam increase. Cooldown falls 10% and teleport goes up 17%. I wouldn't do it, but maybe you really like fh. I think fh is useless and only use it for the second it takes to fly across the room. If you use shield this is a lot less useful. 40 ap is a lot.
I think range sucks. So not versatile. I'd rank thunder up, handy solo and in parties when you take it up to 1, or so I hear.

Out of the list of skills.. I'd say thunder of final hit.
Final Hit is going to give you a nice little boost in Str, which is always nice since your melee/magic.
Thunder is just an all around awesome skill, so that too.

Wood boards are readily available from the Tara festival hammer game. Take advantage of this event to get as many wood boards as you can, because I don't know if there's going to be an event this good for Handicrafting for a while. I've already gotten from rA to r8 from this event. I'd focus on Handicrafting until the event is over while ranking FH on the side. If Firebolt isn't r1, you should consider ranking it that high.

My choice with your current build would be Thunder and Magic Mastery, Ranged attack can be useful but not til numbered ranks really. But I've seen Final Hit useful in room-clearing situations, so keep that in mind as a possibility too.

why not?

Well has a Melee-Magic hybrid you wont be needing to use a bow, however the extra DEX is important to build up your balance to 80%. If CP isn't a problem Ranged Attack is a quick but AP costly dex pot. Counter might not be a bad choice either, high dex but AP costly. If AP is a concern however, you'd best start looking at life skills; refine for one, which I assume you've done and then start looking at weaving and handicraft. As chill mentioned, wooden boards are in stock atm so take advantage of that. BS is butt raep for your wallet, if you have to, do it later. Enchant is really a skill you have to pour effort into, if you do it half heartedly you wont get far. FH is up to you and TH doesnt appeal if you arent going to use it (though keep in mind TH is one of (?) the only magic adv skills that can be loaded in WM spinning phase)

Rank up ranged attack and AR for the extra strength. Along with fireball and blaze.
That's my plan.
Pure melee btw.

For Advanced Magic/Blaze, the AP cost from 5 -> 1 is even more than F -> 5.
If you're willing to use 200% the AP for only 125% the damage, then go with Thunder. The 0.5 second speed increase and extra target will come in handy, so if you do decide to rank it further, then don't stop until Rank 1.
Final Hit is about the same, spending ~200 AP from 5 -> 1 is a huge pain. Again, I'd only rank it if you're planning on going all the way to Rank 1 for the nice Str bonus.
As for Magic Mastery, since you primarily use Thunder as a one-off, then I wouldn't bother with it.
For Enchanting... instead of using all that time/money/effort, rank Campfire to 8 instead. That'll get you to 40% burn (same as Rank B enchant with Rank A fire) which is pretty decent for cheaper burns.
For everything else you listed, they all seem unimportant to me. Dex skills would be the most beneficial (or any Str-adding skills you haven't ranked) since it's too low for end-game weapons. Maybe work on a couple more Magic skills to get your Int up if you decide to rank Blaze (since you're a Melee-Magic Hybrid, Blaze would work wonders for you).

If you want dex to maximize your balance aswell as get that str that range offers, I'd rank that for the stats rather than the actual use of the skill.
After that you can decide between thunder and FH, which one is most benificial/important to rank first.
Also, the point where you require dex for melee is dependant on the weapons you plan or planning on using, you'll need it for warhammers, broads, battles, low balance bastard upgrades, etc.

well, it looks like my main goal will be thunder to 1 i guess, from your advices.
seeing how people place so much importance on dex, i shall work on that secondly~ either simultaneously with thunder or after im done with thunder. i am working on handi atm anyhow~ just stuck at the make wooden boards requirement. :P castles are open yay. senmag cheap 5k!! xD so ill be workin on that now. handi will take priority before thunder due to its difficulty in training.
2 dduudee: is firebolt 1 that important?? i mean of course it's better than other ranks~ mine is at rank 5 but i mean it works fine for me right now. it would be cool for it to be at 1 though~ just for the cappedness. however, i think that is just something i'll do once i run out of things to rank up.
2 justin: i didnt' even think of that~ raising campfire. if i raise it to 8 and get enchant c then ill be content i think. much appreciation for the idea.
thanks you guys so so so much!! u guys are pro!!!! <3 ^^b

I wouldn't rank thunder to rank 1 so soon because it's the skill that gives the most CP at rank 1 in the game. If you don't have rank 1 of CP-requirement skills (like ranged/AR/the bolts), it might be a problem if your CP gets too high, for you won't be able to do boss kills even with -500 CP. Not that they're necessary, but it makes training them a whole lot easier.
Although range trolls a lot by missing at high percentages, it's still quite useful (sometimes more than magic). Magnum and AR are especially helpful. And more dex is always nice for both ranged damage and balance for all weapons.

Firebolt r1 does hundreds of damage more than r5 when fully charged, which I think makes a difference. It's great for Beetle Wolves and other monsters with Heavy Stander 1 that you can't normally WM spam or normal hit. I think it's worth it to have something like this on the side, especially because it doesn't even take up an entire rb's worth of AP to get to r1. Plus, Wood Boards are more easily gotten from Ballooning, where Firebolt plays a big part.

@Ailyene: hmmm.... cp. good point. >.< if only i had enough money to buy a marble brig. xD
@dduudee: 41 stars for a chance to get 1 board. :T how fast are your hunts?? seems like a slow process regardless, no?? do you use cc??
well as of now, im trying to work on handi, since it depends on my dex. i finally passed rank c->b. since i got thunder to a decent rank to get the tough string fairly easily, i think dduudee's suggestion sounds more useful to me than thunder right now. Dx after firebolt i guess comes thunder aye.
thanks again.

If you're looking for some decent damage, go into dex.
I think thats what you should do, at your 100 dex.
