Okay I don't have too much time so I'll try to sum everything up real quick.
Honestly there's much I want to share but I'll just have to not talk about most of those things.
Things kinda really suck right now, in fact its probably one of the new lows I've hit with my life. But at the same time it feels a little bit liberating because I've begun to understand a lot more about everything than I did before. Another step in enlightenment, I suppose you could say. I'm making the best of the situation and I think I'm on a really good path at the moment.
I have a part time job at subway and caribou coffee (which is, for the record, vastly superior to starbucks). Just to make a little cash on the side and keep me busy. I should really save that money but I end up spending nearly a third of my paycheck on crafting materials to fuel my incredibly feminine hobbies. I'll be moving into my own apartment early next year.
Umm, one reason in particular I wanted to make this thread is to quickly ask everyone who has a better understanding of the topic than I do over digital cameras. Black Friday is coming up and I think it would be the ideal time to graduate from my junk phone camera. I don't need anything extravagant, but something for every day use would be very nice. If anyone has any suggestions for a cheap black friday deal on a good camera, that'd be fantastic.
In other related black friday news, Starcraft 2 is half off at the moment, so anyone who sat on the verge of buying it, should.
Thats all for now, I really gotta head out. I'll still be on my phone messenger often so hit me up. I'll be back tomorrow.

Depends if you want pictures that are just screenshots for memories...
Or if you want to take pictures that people will look at like art.

Thanks for nothing guys >:(
But yeah, I just picked up a cheap kodak camera from walmart for black friday for 50 dollars. Then realized its not really a very good camera.
And then earlier today while I was cleaning the house a bit I found an old samsung camera my parents lost underneath the couch. I asked if I could have it and they said I could. Its twice as good as the one I had bought, and since its free, might as well just return my kodak camera and get my 50 dollars back ._.
Maybe I'll buy that external hard drive with the 50 dollars. I was meaning to back up my current one anyways. Never know when these things kick the can.

I feel bad for you.
You still have ways to go to dive into meaningful photo quality.

Cheap crap is cheap crap. D:
I would never buy a camera without researching it, first. x_X But then again, I wasn't completely satisfied with the one I chose, so I ended up returning it. :<
Now it sucks because I'm having trouble choosing one myself. Looking for top quality without paying a top price.

I did research it beforehand, but it was the only one I could find in a reasonable price range before a sudden JUMP in price and quality to the next better camera.
And it WAS discounted 60 dollars for black friday.
I just had to deal with it and buy it.
But yeah, the one I currently have is exactly the kind of camera I wanted for every day use.

You're never going to get a good camera for $50. Not for years, anyway.
I'd say you have to spend like $80-100 to even get anything decent. A lot of the ones you see everyday people using cost even more than that. It isn't uncommon at all for people who aren't even into photography to have a camera worth $150-250.

Really, you're getting a good value up until about $150-200. After that, it starts to drop off a bit, imo.
Cameras are the kinda thing you shouldn't go halfway on. If you don't want to spend the money, don't buy it. It would be like buying a mediocre PC part that's on its way to being obsolete.
It's good things worked out in the end, though.
