Brooms

  Also, the lower you fly the more slowly you go even in a plane. You don't go quickly in a plane near to ground for well the obvious safety purposes and the obvious obstructions. In the air you don't have either thus you are able to go in a straight line at a significantly faster speed. If you had a broom moving through Dunbarton at the same speed as in the air it would be more difficult to control. Thus the second reason for them balancing them to have faster speed in air and slower on land. Carpets feel the same effect I'm pretty sure. Haven't obtained one yet to see.

  Just saw this. I don't own a broom myself however I'm a bit knowledgeable on military aircraft. The higher up you go the less air thus less air resistance to fly against. Also, less wind and there's the "jet steam" to consider.
