I wonder how long it'll be before someone finds a loophole...

Right now this only applies to underage gamers.

I think they already have, although it will stop people from becoming an Extreme Hikikomori. This picture right here scares me to death. Also, Supreme Commander Fal this is to stop the pitfall of gaming in general. Almost everyone in the world has an addiction to something though this might be more censorship of younger kids so that they can be limited to outside influences. Maybe Korea will take the Chinese route and break google making them less of a search engine.

I've seen an image of a computer gaming system that's even scarier than that, but it was from a friend's presentation so I don't have the image. It would be nice to have enough self-control to get enough sleep and do things that are supposed to be done in real life so that things like this aren't necessary. I guess in some cases, they are.

I sometimes wonder if they are already doing that over here...

I know some people have to be sent to therapy for it, at the very least. I'm still good enough to where if I have an option between playing to get something, or sleeping, I'll sleep. Unless it's a special occasion or of I feel like I deserve a little reward.

You make several good points.
Seriously though I don't see how banning gaming from 12-6 AM could do any harm. It's just plain unhealthy to be playing during those ungodly hours. (then again I'm mostly saying this because I can't stay awake that late :P)

I hear the reason to a lot of game restrictions in places like China and Korea is because a girl on World of Warcraft died because of gaming so much. well, i mean by gaming for so long she was just getting sick and forgetting about doing simple things.
However i could be wrong and i'm not certain.

What you did there, I see it.
Yes, people die from gaming. They neglect their physical needs, such as the need for food and sleep, in order accomplish things in a virtual world. I'm pretty sure that because they neglected their real body, they didn't even get to do THAT.

Yeah, but you sure as hell don't hear about the people spending a lot of time online and being healthy.
Those were exceptions, that would've probably gotten addicted and reliant to something else if they didn't have internet.
