Favorite "theme"?

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. I know this isn't what is normally put in this section, but since it's art related I think it fits.

Like is there one particular thing you favor to look at/recreate/take photos of, ect

whether it's a time period
a group of people
fantasy women
a place/landscape

I like old abandoned amusement parks/carnivals/circus's

abandoned places are too depressing for me but i love landscapes. landscape photography is my favorite :D
i also love the underwater photos I see on deviantart (like sugarock99). wish I had money for an underwater camera case

My favorite theme huh?

Paranormal. Chaotic beauty. Also, infusing nature and magic together. I wish I had a few good pictures on my mind to show, but instead all I can think about right now are the Starcraft 1 Protoss bgm. Well, them protoss fit the theme quite well though.

Oh, and I really really don't know. Something about old aperture science strikes nostalgia in me, from when I was literally like 4 or 5. Can't put my finger on it, but I love it. All the themes featured in old aperture science was amazing and incredible.

Abandoned amusement parks are cool too. I love visiting them if I'm in Korea or something.

I can't really describe my favorite theme, and I don't feel comfortable with just leaving it at "northern landscapes, flora, and fauna" and whites, blues, and earthy tones due to the former being unspecific and I don't even know if that's what I should really categorize it as l0l. So I'll try to specify more.

I like snowy woodlands and forest a lot.

Glaciers and snowy/barren/tundra islands are nice, too. And water that is a nice, deep blue.

And Northern Lights. I guess Southern Lights too, but I typically just think that anything of the sort is just Aurora Borealis instead of Aurora Australis.

omg yes @ woodlands and glaciers. I had forests on my mind but totally forgot about them when I posted. I LOVE wooded areas. I hope to get married in an open area in the woods someday. serious :D
