Currently I have three swords; identical 223 Broadswords (0-66 attack, 32 crit, 41 balance) and a 255 Gladius (50-64, 0 crit, 58 balance). All are blacksmithed at some medium grades.
Additional Info:
My balance is 30% higher than the average of my weapons. (E.g., if weapon has 30 balance, I have 60 balance).
Barehand damage for me is 69-104
I want to select two out of these three swords to use as a weapon set, because I am attempting to enchant the two selected. Basically, since the broads are identical, there are only 2x Broad and Broad + Gladius choices. So far I've been going with Broad + Gladius for medium critical and balance, with a stable minimum attack.
What would you suggest?

It really depends
Do you mind posting your dex
If you gain 30% balance from dex as it sounds like
broads would put you at a reasonable 71% balance
With a better crit and a bit more max attack
with 71% balance i say go for double broads

list the damage and crit etc for each set. then we can decide better.

don't dual two different weapons as the stat value on the character menu won't be accurate and you will have wide ranging stats

16 crit for 9 bal? If that extra 16 crit is meaningful, I would take the broads. Chances are it isn't (you're probably hovering around 30 crit, so an extra 16 crit won't do anything for your crit smash). Glad + broad imo.
Also depends on how big of an investment your enchants will be. Wolf hunter raven = easy & cheap --> use glad + broad until you get better bal, then wolf hunter raven the other broad and dual them.

I say 2x broad if your dex is high enough. I'd rather get the crit because I like smashing stuff and smash doesn't ignore prot like wm does. Plus imo even if the max chance of crit is 30% having the extra crit from the broads would help out against the high prot enemies in the sm (or I just never crit them)

What's your base natural crit.
And what skill do you use more.
WM use the Gladius combo.
Smash use the dual broads.
