It was changed in the first place because some people changed their name every other day.
So I decline your offer.
the only flaw with that was because people were getting name changes from admins
not by gold

Just make new accounts if it bothers you that much. If you guys don't have enough gold means you haven't posted that much so yeah.
6k posts and only 22k?

A better solution would be to lower the price but limit how often people are allowed to change (like once a month)

A forum I used to go to allowed a
free name change either every 6 months or every year. I think it'd be nice to implement something like this, if it were possible.
However, it'd be nice to still have the name changes purchasable through the shop.

i thought the reason people changed name was because they had too much gold sitting around.

I demand name change prices to be 10k for first time change but 16k for after.

I demand all name changing possibilities removed, if you chose a bad name it's your fault.

I'm curious as to why people change their names so often anyways (if it's not for an event). I personally like that I'm not getting as confused as before, because even if there IS a thread, it does get confusing and kind of annoying.
I think of name changes as..
"Oh, I really messed up in creating this name. In the time that it takes me to get enough gold to change it, I can think of a new, good one that I actually like."
Not as...
"I feel like changing my name all the time weeeeee".

I don't change my name constantly D<
I've had this one forever
I've had the gold to change it if I wanted to but I don't ):

Why do people have problems with name changes?
It's not hard to figure out who someone is.

Yeah, it isn't difficult to keep up with people, but it's a little annoying. XD
Some people complain about it though. They're usually the less active folks.
