Or are we just not getting those large 20man raids? :gloom:

Nexon probably refuses to buy servers for large raids. Meanwhile in maplestory they are probably just going to straight up delete a server and turn it into large raid servers for vindictus lol.
500% revenue growth and still no staff increase or new servers.

we probably won't be getting dedicated servers for those, the players will have to host it themself. good luck with that

I doubt they're going to do that to us. I mean, Koreans have better internet options for less money... most of us can't even host 8 player raids. It's pathetic, but we can't do anything about it.

My max is 4 people, and even then it lags. Anymore than that and it becomes near impossible to get anything done.

I can host 6. Haven't tried hosting 8 for a long time, but I don't remember it working out very well. I might test it later, though I'm not expecting much.

I can host 8 player glas pretty well. That's probably the most demanding Rocheste raid. I had this run where several people didn't die even once and someone remarked she didn't lag at all :D
But I'm still scared to try the colhen raids like lionotus and well especially colru. I might be able to pull it off, but there are plenty of people hosting those anyways, and it doesn't need to be me.
Hosting comes down to a mix of computing speed and upload speed. I'm not too sure how much upload you need but you definately need AT LEAST 1mbit for 8 people raids. It will probably be serviceable but not ideal. 2mbit will go a lot better.

My one friend can host 8 player raids with no lag whatsoever. It's amazing, tbh.
But still, I don't know how they could hold up a 24-person raid.

Ask him what kind of config he's running :D

I can run 8 people raids without any lag as well. What do you mean, "what kind of config?"

computer specs, internet speed, in-game options. config is short for configuration :D

Yeah, my upload speed is about 93kb/s.
So I probably can't do 8 player raids. Maybe if there's no mobs or something... I can host 6 people with mobs just fine, or at least Lionotus anyway.
Framerate lag isn't really a problem. I mean, it is, but I still end up with 5 hosting bars and others who would get 5 bars still do.

Frame rate lag actually is a big part of things. I've rarely seen a host of 8 player glas who can keep a steady 5 bars in glas. Usually drops to 4 bars at least in certain parts (the beginning parts are the most demanding, not unusual for host to dip to 3 bars). In terms of specs thor is also pretty demanding, especially for people who play on max settings (due to how demanding water reflections is). I've hardly ever seen any host who can keep 5 bars in thor at all parts.
Game is just coded pretty bad overall though. That's why it's so demanding.
