The only problem is that Slashing High almost requires the boss to be relatively slow. Often times I'll waste a few seconds of Slashing High if Colru randomly decides to run off after someone half way across the room. Glas is also a terrible example, often flying away when you've used up 3 bars of SP.
It's also closer to about ~10 seconds without SH if you HSC the Shield Charge after the initial hit, which is what I tend to do (unless I'm using it to go through an unblockable).
I can only really justify using Slashing High in one situation with Swords, which would be to tank Colru's fire ring and keep spamming smashes (that you can't do without SH). But I'm a very defensive player, so I tend to try not to tank2win in SH too much. Even in trans with 10k defence.
Also my trans is still only Lv. 33, so I'm missing the Stage 2 stat boosters. That's probably worth noting.

Well, if everyone transes at mostly the same time, a boss running away from you shouldn't be a problem. I know in our steamroll of Colru, he was pretty much stationary (when we all went into stage 2 I think we had him stunlocked... with only one spear Lann).
And I'm more of an aggressive person with my defense. I figure that since I'm a Fiona and I can realistically defend against anything with ease, I might as well abuse my DEF. Especially if my Stone procs. Stone has given me such bad habits that a lot times on my Fiona, I don't even run to the walls anymore when Colru is orb storming because I know that I can tank an orb to the face with Stone on.

True, I'm just not used to "perfect" runs.
There's usually at least one person who doesn't trans, gets hit a few times, has low level trans and gets killed, or something. Then aggro starts getting spread around and it's just annoying as heck to deal with.
Still, I suppose there isn't that much of a difference in what you do in trans, considering you're already hitting for a ton of damage anyways no matter what you do.

Noob question here, but how do you get your transform to last so long? I thought there was a 2min timer on regular and a 1min timer on 2nd.

Shakarr (in the battle "The Fomorian Leader") is a special mission/solo. You're put into 2nd Stage Trans and it never expires, even if you were to idle for days after killing Shakarr.

Yep, you're put into 2nd trans even if you don't have it yet, like me, ahaha.
I wonder what would happen if you didn't pick a transformation yet... Someone will need to test this! So long as transformation isn't required to progress the main story, anyway.

As far as I know, you'll default to a Trans. 2 Paladin if you haven't gotten transformation by the time you do Shakarr

Oh, is that how it works?
Guess it saves me from testing. It would still probably mind**** people to do one video as a Paladin and upload another the next day as a Dark Knight, though.
