Or any other day while I'm at work. I'm so done with working at Walmart that I legit get pissed off just when certain people are there. The amount of bull****tery that goes around there followed by the politics that run through management and anyone with any power over people is ridiculous.
Back-story on current situation:
Gorilla questioned my sexuality, even pulling me outside and asking me, while at work. So I got her coached (When coached your stuck in your current position for 6 months with no raise.) for sexual harassment. Ever since then she has been on my ass about everything. She keeps me stuck inside all night, knowing I have to clear the parking lot by 10:30pm, people greeting because "we have nobody to cover the door". She gets mgmt to talk to me about the stupidest ****.
So the one csm that closes, I shall call Gorilla from now on (its her nickname anyway), shes a complete *****. She is so miserable all the time and she likes to make everyone feel just as bad as she is on a constant basis. For being a supervisor she doesn't even give any ****s about the cashiers or when their breaks are. She doesn't care if the line is super long, or that the event associate has to be back in site-store helping customers. It has absolutely no concern to her. She also talks so much trash on everybody in the store. She'll even talk about it when shes 5 feet away from you to somebody else. WHO THE ****....!?
So I'm a register trained associate (after 3 months of bugging and begging I got my numbers), there is no difference between Gorilla calling register trained associates (she does it when it gets extremely bad, and only under that circumstance) and having me, A REGISTER TRAINED ASSOCIATE, to come and hop on a register. Yet, when I hop on a register to take customers, albeit me being a cart pusher, she comes up with every and any excuse in the book to have me get off.
"I'd prefer to have my cashier (whose currently people greeting so I can get carts) go on." - I would have to go find her sorry ass, ask her if I could watch the door so the cashier can get off the door and hop on.
"I'd prefer someone who is dressed properly to be on register" - I am under dress code, MY dress code is jeans, and a blue shirt, optional hat. I take off my hat, sweatshirt, gloves, etc when I hop on. Besides I wear some pretty nice jeans anyway, so it's not like I'm dressed trashy (for working at walmart).
"I'd like you to do returns instead" - She wants me to do returns then get people through the lines faster!? WTF *****!? WHAT THE ****!?
Now Gorilla is our closing CSM so she only works nights and we literally have like no people scheduled on nights, it's incredibly sad. Even to the point where mgmt has had to go on a register and take people multiple times. AND THEY STILL DON'T PUT PEOPLE ON THE SCHEDULE!
And it's not like I'm neglecting my job either I go on register when there are lines when carts are completely fine for the time being. She has some inferiority complex.
So I went to a manager tonight to talk about Gorilla and the whole situation. I go in there expecting some better times ahead, I come out pissed off as ****! I started getting lectured about all the things I do wrong, and I know I'm not perfect, and I am completely aware of what I do wrong, but the whole point of me going in there was to alleviate complications between me and a supervisor (WHO I GET SCHEDULED TO WORK WITH FREQUENTLY DESPITE MGMT KNOWING THE SITUATION! They do that **** on purpose.) They even singled out 2 of my friends who work on the front end during the lecture. That's not even appropriate. The whole point wasn't even about them. Pissed me off even more.
Management is supposed to resolve these issues if it comes up, AND THEY DONT DO ****! They blame us for anything that goes wrong in the store. I'm job coded as a cart pusher, I'm making $8.20/hour. I know how to run a register, run site-store, do layaway's (Which is a headache, every time), mix paint, cut fabric (system in the telzons we use to print out labels and keep track of fabric), do picks (taking items out of the bins in the backroom and putting em on the floor, and do all this **** on the floor. I've picked up or stayed late at least 20 times within the past 3 months because they needed my help. I do a lot for the store and I still get such disrespect and bull**** from so many people including mgmt that I'm completely done. Signed up to school tonight just so I can get the **** outta there.
If I put in my 2 weeks and/or quit right now they would be completely ****ed without me. Legit. They'd have no cart pusher, have to pull a cashier to bring carts in. Oh, btw they would have to do by hand cause some motha****ing cashier broke the cart machine. Have to pull cashiers to cover the door (in garden and up front) instead of using me which doesn't affect the registers and the score card for the front end. Have no one to go cut fabrics, or mix paint at 9:50pm, 10 minutes before we close and still get down in an efficient amount of time. It took 4 months for them to hire another cart pusher, and another 3 to hire a temp for the holidays. It'd be a long while before they got a new one.
TL;DR I ****ing hate Walmart
