  There's no summon effect from what I can tell.
  
  In addition the ice breath uses the thunder breath's sound and animation when charging. XD

  Before your stuff:

  I have 4 ice dragons now, their aoe is op as hell, it's an instant frozen blast that lets people combo the monsters without them flying all over the place and 9/10 times it kills all aggro, they stop aggroing you the second you use it.
  
  with my 4 i can successfully aoe let people smash something 3 times aoe repeat. with enough of these pets you can kill anything without it fighting back, it effects everything as far as i know as well.
  
  I've been able to chain freeze every mob i've tried from field bosses to tms to sms.

  As you're right there is an AOE... there's just no visual or audio effect.

  So how does the ice breath do if you don't mind me asking? Or do you only summon-rape-summon-rape-repeat?

  Summon it and have everyone with smash/mag loaded once it freezes unleash hell, when it unfreezes for half a second, summon your second one it freezes mid air, repeat for as many ice dragons as your party has, i've used this on team boss and it's proven to help quite a bit. (g15 npc arena final fight)
  
  In the case of adv heavy standing tarlach bear, just unleash hell on it and refreeze it when it breaks free, it wont move what so ever.
