ATK:8011 ATK SPD: 5 CRIT: 40 BAL:60 STR:101 AGI:15 WILL:66 <- ep 9.5
vs
ATK: 7768 ATK SPD: 9 CRIT: 52 BAL: 63 STR: 98 AGI: 42 WIL: 67 <- ep 10
If someone could number crunch this for me, which one comes up superior on average?
I know this is the bh vs ch argument again so i think episode 9's hammer is better but i'm really interested if the speed and crit make up for the -243 attack

I'm didn't figure out the numbers or anything, but since hammas can crit on normal attacks, I'd think the critical would help a lot more than it would any other class.

Yeah, that's why i'm really curious which one is actually better

Assuming ~1200 WIL
-Crits do 1.68% more damage
-12% more Crit
.12 * 1.68 = .2016
So each hit over time does .2016% more damage.

Thanks, I'm still wondering if the damage from the extra crits and speed you can pass the attack bonus the ep 9.5 hammer has over the ep 10 one on end game raiders where you cannot exactly spin to win the whole time

You also have to factor in the new stimulants, if you use exquisite ironhide + slashing high you can spin as much as you want, more or less.

Nty, i don't use those, they make the game too easymode to be fun. i can see maybe using them the first week of the raids being out but once pugs learn how to fight them they make the game way too easy.
And i believe they proved speed crit>more power when dpsing on a non moving enemy so if you're planning to abuse stimulants the ep 10 hammer wins regardless

Oh, that makes it a lot simpler, then. A lot less percentages to deal with, and I don't really like the feel of the stimulants myself. It feels... unnatural to be taking one damage from Thor's aqua-shock.

Everyone i've asked says ep 10 hammer is the better one
"Ep10 is. Speed, crit, bal, for only 243 less attack? That's a great trade. And it even gives agility, so more defense with that one... Lol."
"It doesn't look like a misshapen hair blower either"

I'd get the Karma Long Hammer (ep10) over the Piercing Mallet as well :thumb:

After looking this over, I am dumb.

Is incorrect.
It's .12 * 1.68 = .2016 = 20.16% more damage.

The formula is just off. :) You had the right answer the first time, but you did the math you wrote out wrong. As it's stated, it would equal 20.16% extra damage, but you didn't turn 1.68% into a decimal. It should read: .12 * .0168= .002016 = .2016%
I would say that the ep. 10 hammer would be the better pick as well. The speed would be immensely useful, as would the agility and such. If you ever feel you need the attack, you could always enchant it anyway. ;)
