Is this a good computer?

My parents have agreed to get me a new computer for christmas, as long as it's under $700. I want to know if this is a good computer to run Dragon Nest on, as that's the only game i really have a hard time playing with my current computer.

Is it bad, as in, it will ruin my entire gaming experience? Or bad as in, i could get better? Because with my budget, i couldnt find many computers with good graphics cards, they all had cards below the minimum on the Dragon Nest site. (according to this chart http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/fastest-graphics-card-radeon-geforce,3067-7.html)

Actually they are very useful. As you usually are going to have lots of processing power when its needed, especially when your running games that support multi-core processors.

Ok, what I recommend is to hold off on buying a computer just yet, and do some research on what parts the computer has in it. Look at reviews of each part, the cost, and what better alternatives there are. Then if you decide on what better parts there are, build your own computer.

I've already ruled out building my own, i don't know aything about that, and instead of spending the time to learn about computers and make my own, i'd rather buy one thats capable of running dragon nest, unlike the computer i own now. All i want to know is if i should be able to run my games on this computer. Maybe at some later time, i'll try to build my own, but for now im just buying one.

bad as in you can get better
and that its not that good
desktops with Intel i3-2100 should be more reliable and better at similar price level

Mmm, would would a not good CPU affect? Because like i said earlier, everywhere i search, the computers in my price range dont have good enough graphics cards, except this one.

I don't like the GPU. I don't think you need an especially good CPU if you're just going to be gaming, but you'll need a nice GPU. CPUs would probably come more into play when you're doing things like editing images/videos, encoding audio files, rendering, etc. As long as your CPU is "good enough", having more won't help much for gaming. I'm not saying you should go out and spend $400 of your $700 on a graphics card, but it should probably be the better part of your computer. A lot of the cheaper computers are not built with gaming in mind (regardless of how they advertise themselves), so you may have to pick the parts and have a site build one for you.

I'm gonna tell it to you straight. You are not going to find a decent prebuilt gaming computer for less than $700. Though that might be able to play DN fine (IDK about the requirements)
You can build a pretty good one for the same price, and ALL you need to to, is go look at one of the prebuilt ones from like iBuyPower or Cyberpower or something, and try and copy the specs. Ask around about what would be a better GPU, Processor, how much RAM, etc. Or even just ask on here what would be the best possible computer I can build on a $700 budget.

Even if you don't want to build a PC, down the road at some point, odds are you are going to see a really good looking game, and your prebuilt computer that you spent $700, is barely going to be able to play it at a decent framerate on the lowest graphical settings.

My thinking is why not get the best possible system you can get on your budget? Building a computer is stupidly easy and literally only requires a few hours to put it all together. Before I built my computer I spent hours searching for something decent on my budget, and I gave up. Every single thing was crap because they put crap GPUs into the cheap computers so people will buy the more expensive PCs with the decent GPUs.

But, its your money, so whatever.

Now, on that computer you linked too, most of the specs on it look great. RAM is fine, CPU is fine, but that GPU is crap for gaming, from what I understand. It's a cheap $50 card that will do home media just fine, but is pretty terrible at gaming.

That is probably all you'll ever need in building computers. (Other than googling certain things.)
