which is gonna be interesting, because they need to know legit from bad transactions, especially between npc....
lol... this is nexon. They banned thousands of people in mabinogi when there was gold related exploits. More than half were guilty of nothing more than having unknowingly traded with the people who did abuse the exploits.

The exploit was buying Flour for cookingc which are bought in bulk of 5 for 100g, but can be resold per piece at 50 gold, you make 150 gold. Using a bot people can easily make Millions of gold in an hour, roll back was called and took away the gold from account which was gained this way, of course there are loopholes, since people bought items, which they can't take away, and other stuff etc.
Horrible exploit, dealt right after the damage was done, but before it could get any worse.
Edit: Over all, prices rose 10-25% depending on said item, lowest Dye I see is 18mil compared to the 12.5mil just a couple days ago.
Anyway, I was doing goodies and SwToR xD 117/440 for my 10x Enhancing Stones. I wanna get ready for Episode 9.5 Weapons, need a new staff :D.

Welp, I'm not sure if the glitch is fixed, but people have gotten locked out, banned, or their gold rolled back if they used the exploit. So good job to the Vindictus team for dealing with the problem shortly after they caught wind of it!

For me:
Not locked.
No gold loss
Everything is where it should be.

Sigh.
Banning isn't a solution since a lot of people used the money to buy stuff off the MP, so people who didn't even abuse the exploit now have free money.
Deeeeeeeerp.
EDIT: Actually, didn't notice they rolled back money, huh, not bad Nexon.

Did a rollback actually happen? I just checked everything and it's exactly the same as when I logged off last night.

I'm probably locked out, I can't enter the game, just stops me when I click on "Start Game" after selecting a character. :(
Yup it's just my Lann, Evie is fine.

Yes, a lot of people lost millions of gold if they used it. Or locked, if they even bought it. Locking/banning for one of their mistakes isn't really the way to handle this...rollback, okay, I get that but not banning when a way to get all of that gold is
basically provided for them.

Whether or not it was their mistake is irrelevant.
It's pretty obvious that it shouldn't have been there, so anyone with half a brain would know that if they did abuse it, that they'd be fair game for a dose of punishment.

Some people didn't abuse it though. It's happened before with nexon, they ban someone who did nothing wrong. I agree, however, that those people who abused it should've expected it, I just don't agree with their method of 'fixing the problem.'

I honestly don't expect any more from them after seeing the same things happen on Mabi as well as the really old Tieve Gift Box exploit.
I'm suprised they did something within a day really.

Oh I'd heard of the tieve box thing, but I wasn't playing at the time...and I don't play mabi so, this whole banning because of an exploit kind of...yeah.

That suprised me too. I figured it would last at least a few days, it was crazy fast on their part. .-.

Thing is, they didn't just ban everyone.
I did it on two characters and didn't get my char locked, or banned. Just had my gold reverted. I made less than 1m.

Yah I know. I had used it to see if it really worked and got a few hundred k out of it. My gold was also reverted, but a friend of mine had her character locked and she didn't even know about the exploit. So I'm guessing she bought it to make something and she was one of the unlucky ones to get locked, so now she's stuck on her alt.

They unbanned everyone. Makes me wish I had written a script to do it and laundered the money out, could have gotten off without any penalty.
