I [S]was forced to watch[/S] took another look at the really old title, Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha. Most of the interest came after Madoka, so I imagined this series to be great, since a lot of the English community was talking about it, and there was even this guy in Japan who had over $100,000 worth of Fate Testarossa items. (<-- LOL)
So I watched the first season, and you have no idea how many times I wanted to throw up. Character design was fine, but the artwork was pretty crappy, and all that "I want to make friends!" trash was really getting to me. I felt like I was watching a loli version of Sailor Moon.
Long story short, I then expected an "OMG PLOT TWIST" as with Madoka, but Nooooo~ the anime isn't so nice like that. I wasted around 5 hours just skipping scenes through the first season and being disgusted by it.
I know it's a pretty old release, but seriously; I literally predicted the damn plot at around episode 3 and I was right. A lot of my friends said it gets better in the Nanoha A's or even the Strikers, but I can't imagine any form of new plot that would interest me.
So here's my question: What's so good about Nanoha?
Feel free to prove me wrong; I don't really have high standards for anime, so if you give me a good reason, I'll go and watch A's and Strikers to see if it gets better.
