Was wondering what scythe I should aim for at 61. Ivory isnt cutting it anymore and I want something that will noticeably increase my damage while not having an unfeasible pricetag. I can also farm a bit to craft, just looking for a good target scythe.

Rakrak claws are pretty cheap and have good attack speed, they are farmable. Lionoteeth is a good upgrade over rakrak claws if you want a bit more attack and keep the speed (however it requires the rare colru shiny stone).
Braid tassels are balanced in most areas and farmable.
For the most attack, Scythe of Carresses or Raiders but they lack in all other areas (they both require rare items though, succy emblem and glas torn pants).
Felbellow tin scythe if you're dirt poor and want something slightly better than ivory scythe. You want to ditch it asap for a better one though.

I would say Scythe of Caresses since that's only a couple mil and not too much weaker than the Raider's Scythe (which is A LOT more expensive). I would say get the Scythe of Caresses if you could afford it; if not, get the Braid Tassel for a while until you can up your gear.

Rakrak is my recommendation. Speed is very important to Scythe since they are finisher dependent.

been browsing the market and i notice some that have very low durability selling for fairly cheap. Is weapon durability all that important? they dont break in combat and it would just mean goin to repair a bit more often. Of course I wouldn't buy one with super low durability, but a bit less seems reasonable if it means a lower pricetag.

It's important for Enhancing and Enchanting afterwards. If your weapon only has 50 Dura, you only have that 50 Dura to work with when you're busy enchanting and enhancing it. If it has 100 Dura, you can lose 99 Dura and still use it (while the 50 Dura one would now be useless).
It's nothing major, and it really doesn't matter unless you're OCD about things. It also is completely pointless if you're going to be using Enchant or Enhance runes.

Isn't there nx repair pots to restore lost durability?

Well, yes. But then again, with that NX you could just get Enhancement runes and not lose any more dura. Or sell dyes to get something with perfect dura.
A weapon can go down to 0 Dura, at which point those potions can save it. But that's if it doesn't get blown up due to r9+ Enchants or +11 and higher.
I personally have never had too much trouble with weapon dura to think a 135 Dura +10 is necesary. But those 17 Dura Scythes are on the market for a reason.

The repair pots must be good subsitutes for enchant protection pots though (assuming you're putting on rank A or less). I failed 3 gallants on my rakum rakish already </3

Enchant Runes (this isn't Mabi, XD) are really only for r9 and r8 scrolls. I don't think anyone would spend 9 dollars just because they really don't want to lose dura from a rF scroll or something.
