  A samsung syncmaster T23350a "23" LED HDTV / Monitor
  is 1080p and support up to 1920x1080 resolution

  It can also multitask between watching TV and using the computer
  with the one not being used in the bottom right corner
  
  Can also play movies, see photos or play music off a USB flashdrive
  and it's glossier than the original PS3
  
  would prefer a dedicated computer monitor but LED > LCD
  especially since the image is still good with most viewing angles
  
  oh and chat with kitae

  IPS is a different kind of panel tech, as opposed to TN, which is cheaper and found in most LCD/LED monitors. The main advantage of IPS is its much wider viewing angles, which is nice when you have a large screen and you want colour at the top and bottom to look the same. Tablets typically use IPS screens, as well as Apple's Cinema Displays, which is why they look significantly better than your typical TN screen, if you ever got to compare them.
  
  TN however has a small advantage in refresh rate, so they can be better for gaming. (Then again, total input lag is probably more important, but that doesn't depend on panel tech type.. I think.) TN also has a big advantage is cost; it's roughly 2-3x cheaper.
  
  That said, a high quality TN panel display can still be pretty nice, which is what I think yours is. So don't mind me, I was just teasing. :p
