Ash got a cyndaquil in Jhoto, 2 REGIONs back.....

I taught Ash went into so many more regions then that.

After the first season was um...Orange Islands I believe.

I'm talking about the guy who was trying to catch Suicune. As for the battle with Articuno Vs Charizard, that was a Frontier Brain battle.

Also meh, stopped watching the anime regularly and would only pay attention if I just happened to see it when my television is on. In my opinion, the Regis are pretty weak. The move sets suck and you have to waste time searching for good TMs to use on them.
