This isn't exactly a gamebreaking error, but it just annoys me mostly. The game skips every 2 seconds exactly. I counted. I don't know if this has happened to anyone else but yeah. Any help, I would appriciate sooo much! Thank youu! <3
btw I am on windows 7 home premium.

Checked the task manager's processes list to see if there's anything else sucking CPU usage?
-
iFelony wrote on 2011-12-26 09:53
System idle process is taking 80-86% jumping around. idk if thats normal.

That's a measure of what's not being used by other programs, it's normal.
Is your AV running a scan or something?

Do you have a gaming mouse, or something with a very high refresh rate (1000 hz)
this can put stress on cpu and lag it every few seconds

This happens for me, too, in a lot of cities. :(

Does playing fullscreen at a low resolution (even if it's the incorrect aspect ratio) stop it?
Can you make a NEW user account on your computer and run the game to see if it behaves better there?

I'll try the user account but playing in fullscreen doesn't change it.
EDIT: It works perfectly in dungeons, just no where else.

How much RAM do you have.
-
iFelony wrote on 2011-12-28 03:24
8GB
EDIT: I dont care for the skipping anymore as it does not bother me. I have a larger problem. Mabinogi sometimes crashes my whole monitor. Im on an Asus gaming computer using windows 7 64-bit. I have 8GB of RAM as I said above. When it freezes the screen turns the colour of the area im on. (Latest crash turned brown due to the fact I was in bangor.) Sometimes it crashes black. I have updated all my drivers and I have no idea why this is happening. Help please!

This issue is caused by show quest info. If you go to options
And disable show quest info the lag disapers but you wont see the pink quest words or helping arrows

Cuteulala, welcome to the forums! Please have a look at our rules.
Do not post in topics (effectively bumping it up to the top of the list) where the last reply is more than 30 days old. This is known as "necro posting". You are more than welcome to create a new topic if your search results only turn up old threads. Some exceptions apply, like guides. If you feel like bumping an old thread instead of making one would be beneficial then ask a staff member through PMs.
