Windowed mode. I used to do fullscreen, but recently it started to take up the WHOLE screen instead of keeping in proportion, so everyone is fat. So yeah... less laggy = good for crappy computers.

I use windowed and make it as large as possible. This allows me to still have my shortcuts on the bottom of my screen incase I want to bring up Nation or the wiki or a composing program.

I used Windowed Mode as well. If I want lower resolution for the windowed mode, I can just adjust the desktop's screen resolution.

That depends on your OS and video card for the most part. While traditionally windowed has been slower than fullscreen, in Vista/7 with AERO enabled running in a lower resolution than native while windowed should perform better since everything's done to a surface and the full screen isn't poll for the game at once... but sometimes this just doesn't work out properly, so try for yourself.

That's cause the aspect ratio's incorrect. Turn the widescreen setting on, then save, go back into the options and you should have 16:9 and/or 16:10/8:5 options.
