As the title says, what's the best plant to farm for the most profit?

Strawberries are worth the most but are the most difficult to grow

Depends on how often you're around, and how much time you're willing to pour into it. You could be doing sm's for +profit at the same time, for example.
Also, if you grow tomatoes fast enough, you can do two harvests a week, which is more than strawberries.

What's the best to do if you have limited gameplay time?

The easiest, if very limited, then. Tomatoes.

How much time would it take?
I might not go on mabi several times a week.

Twice a week if you keep at it every day. So 2-3 days.

I don't know if this theory is true or not, but i always keep at least one bar of something at 90+, because i think it may boost the growth rate a little (getting all bars to 90+ will speed up growth by alot more). This is usually the bugs bar, because it starts out higher than the others. I then add points to the other bars whilst keeping the bug bar at 90+. I used to be really dedicated to my farm and I would use up all the options everyday, but now i go for faster and easier-to-grow plants since i'm too lazy now to camp at my computer.
I also grow plants that seem to be at a decent selling price (Think ahead - if tomatoes were going for 5k - which is higher than normal - at the start of your farming week, don't choose tomatoes because it's more likely that people will choose to grow tomatoes as well. Instead, go for something that is actually a little lower than [or around] its normal cost, which could be eggplant or cabbage, for example.) Then you'll get a bigger profit.
Hope this helps, and good luck.
