  You are using that circle different, your pencil line needs to relax more :{

  Should start off making a onionskin (very lightly draw body or face structure using a lighter pencil), then create an outline and detail. Also line paper will throw you off, I suggest a clear paper (sketchbook or printer paper)

  Watched the video, obviously. doodled something first then watched and I know why my art looks so bad. I just draw a circle and that's it. I need to learn how the face is ACTUALLY modeled. I guess I'll have to learn anatomy. ( BUT I DONT WANNA QQQQ)

  I'd say that's a significant improvement. :)
  Like I said, this'll be fun to compare day 1 to day 366!

  you want a pencil (will take more than 10min) or comp doodle (less than 10min) ?

  u see that guideline that u drew right under her nose?
  
  try making the chin/end of the face on that line instead
  
  u will get better results, i promise u =D

  if i could make a suggestion, making your hair a bit wider and pulling the outer lines away from the head might help.

  Geez, looking at your sketches brings back memories, my old sketchbooks had TONS of pages of just hands and feet, or eyes. I'd suggest doing that with your book. Just focus on what part of the body from different angles.

  Thought I should revive this thread again. I still doodle throughout school (BECAUSE ALL OF MY CLASSES ARE BORING), but as for getting better... it hasn't been working out too well. hahaha. I'm sure i'll keep getting better if I just keep drawing. I just took some pictures like, a month ago and just now got around to posting them. I need to stop being lazy. when I get bored and take more screenshots, i'll post those too.

  You shouldn't be so restrictive with guideline circles. You don't always have to use them to draw things. :skip:
