Yes. I didn't even plan on coloring them originally but I just did it for no real reason.

Love the expressions you bring out in your sketches. What is your process for the sketches? Just drawing whatever comes to mind, or are you shooting for emotions or anything abstract?

My sketching can be kind of random. Most of the time, I do have a character in mind when I want to draw something, but the pose will be unclear. Sometimes, I just want to draw a character for the first time, so I choose a really basic, shoulder-up pose, as is the case with a few of these. Even so, I do try bringing personality and emotion into the character. Maybe a slight tilt to the head that's not really overt but still there.

And the newest one. This character actually has no gender/sex, but more about that later, hopefully.

Ah very cool, thanks for the insight! Good job on the latest sketch, love seeing these things in the basic form before the coloring.
By the way your resolve is inspiring me to draw! haha Maybe I should pick it back up again.

Oh, I'm glad!
Even if it's just a doodle a day, I'm finding this helps me a lot, personally.

I ended up wanting to do a more detailed sketch of that last image, so I went for it. Gave me a great idea for a new picture.

Thank you! :o
Sometimes, I just like to draw eyes.

I'm also trying to get used to painting in Sai the same way I would in photoshop. Since the blending is a bit different it's hard to mesh the two together. I'm so used to the way I do things in Photoshop (sans lineart, which Sai is much better for hands down IMO) that getting the same feel is a little difficult. The stuff I do in Photoshop feels more solid. It's also a "heavier" program, though.
