Be thankful you don't live in Japan. Their prices. LOL.
I feel bad for them. Also, I myself consider 20 bucks quite a fair price.

I limit myself to 10 dollars on movies
And 2 dollars per episode at max on an anime series
Though I'm not a buyfag. Thats just my price limit if I wanted to get something.
Most I paid for a dvd was 20 dollars, a collector's copy of Scott Pilgrim. Haven't bought a dvd since.

Saw an article on SC about bandai shutting down NA operations, and half the 2ch comments on the matter were about how american anime DVDs had **** quality (i.e: not including JP soundtrack, no special features and no collectors value) and/or too high priced for americans, even though it's cheaper here than over there.

Apparently some Japanese were importing the American versions because it was cheaper. Bandai took out the JP sound tracks to stop them from saving money lol.

Not mine though. Borrowing it from a friend who bought it from Europe because it was cheaper.

Eh, the cat must not be old enough to remember the days when 3 episodes of anime was $24.99 - $29.99 on DVD or VHS. Now a days, most anime is sold in complete sets or season sets. You newer anime lovers have got it made!
