Best Game Recording Program?(For computer games like Minecraft)

So would fraps be worth it? Or something else?

I love the quality Fraps gives, but I always have issues when using it, my Frame Rate instantly drops, for my friend he usually has like 30-40 FPS, when he uses Fraps is drops to 5 or less. Me usually having 60-70 FPS it drops to around 10-30 FPS, playable, but it's hell.

Live video recording is very heavy on various parts of the computer... FRAPS is the best I've seen. All the others I've tried that are free are worse by a noticeable amount. As for alternative paid ones, I haven't really checked into any.
