Mobile Version of Mabination

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. You can not register, post or otherwise interact with the site other than browsing the content for historical purposes. The content is provided as-is, from the moment of the last backup taken of the database in 2019. Image and video embeds are disabled on purpose and represented textually since most of those links are dead.

The tapatalk plugin for vb is free, takes like 2 minutes to config and install, and has a xenforo version as well, so it'd be a consistent mobile experience through the change.

I looked at tapatalk a little while ago, while it's good that it's free, the bad part is you have no control over it and it removes your ads since it doesn't use your HTML/templates, i read something about being able to work with them to have some other ad network on there, but I only use google. I don't trust any others. (and i'm not sure if they put their own on there). You get what you pay for and in this case it's not much. The paid version of tapatalk costs more than their competitors.

The users also have to buy the app.

It added a few different advertising options in the last year, although I disliked them enough to deactivate them on mine and left it (TapaTalk) as an option for donors rather than a publicly available viewing method. It'd be virtually impossible to use most normal ads anyhow, since they're scaled for a much larger screen, not to mention flash compatibility in some cases.

Ya I've noticed that that view is a lot easier to use for mobile devices. Could use the special mobile viewport meta tags though so that it zooms to the right proportions and what not that make viewing on mobile easier.
