With a bit of googling, you can also find what other delightful activities they like to partake in with their victims.
It's amazing what a variety they have.

Well, the soldiers are under a lot of stress there. Under that kind of stress, they will do stupid things. Soldiers are there not because they want to, but they have no other choice since they are orders.

Stress or not, it's BS and it's unacceptable. But it's also unsurprising, given how how low-class the US army is... and has been for a while.

Stress isn't an excuse for most of the things they do.
If they want to take it out on somebody, take it out on those who deserve it. Stress can't put a loaded gun to your head and force you to do something; only you can.

Would that excuse (or any excuse) be applied if it was Taliban soldiers were caught on tape urinating on dead US soldiers? And if it was also on US soil?
A lot of people may be willing to apply excuses for those troops (and other troops doing horrible things they probably weren't ordered to do), but they wouldn't ever allow those same excuses to pass for the same actions from their enemy.

Well, after a firefight where the enemy killed like half your men, it's a bit more understandable why they piss on the enemy. Not to say it's the most honorable thing to do but soldiers are human too and many suffer from ptsd and nervous breakdowns from the horrors they witnessed.

I don't think the tailban would mind but obviously the US would.

Well, that's what a lot of people in the other services would say as well.
