Anyways, for Manga updates of Railgun, I made this thread. I was debating on whether to troll Paul's Majutsu thread with this, but decided in the end to separate the series.

If you decide to watch one before the other, the storyline won't be ruined too much. The only similarity the series share is the setting the characters; that aside, totally different stories to follow.
Majutsu is, of course, about how Magic is introduced and incorporated into the common era. Kagaku is, of course, about the Scientific approach and how the unknown is explored with currently known technology.

It was made to be watched in that order anyways.
Index Anime > Railgun Anime. I just CANNOT sit through an episode of Railgun properly. Also they're milking the series by making 80% of the episodes fillers.
Railgun manga actually just got interesting though.

I really liked the Railgun Anime - at least for the music and moe. Majutsu season 2 is coming and I can't wait D:
Chronologically wise, the first few episodes of Kagaku should take place before the start of Majutsu, but it hardly makes a difference since the main characters of Majutsu only make short cameos in Kagaku. The fillers constantly keep hinting to the main parts of the story however.

Its all service and fillers. The To Aru world's main plot is whats really interesting about this series, not school girls beating up random street thugs.

I'm confused about when Railgun's story arcs take place. That, or the sincerity of the cast's friendship.
In Index Vol. 9, the plot takes place on September 19th. Volume 12 takes place a few weeks after Sept. 19th. The level Upper climax was on July 24th, and by that time, Railgun made it seem like Uiharu, Saten, Biribiri, and Kuroko are close friends. However, in Volume 12, Biribiri had to ask for confirmation of Uiharu's name when she saw Uiharu.
Now wondering about this.
