I'm merely pointing out how much harder/different it is for other classes to reach their potential as compared to Evie. I didn't say I didn't like it... If I didn't, I wouldn't have already spent money on this game.

He has horrible dps while compared to the ammount of damage he deals out.
Does anyone else think it be a good idea to boost lann's movement speed? He's supposed to be the fast DPS guy, but why the hell can the hulking giant run just as fast as him? :v

[FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Of course most of Evie's Staff attacks are smashes, she does not have any combos.
All of her attacks are 1-hitters (Blind Arrow is a volley of 9, but keep reading) which are not normal attacks which can be followed up by a more-powerful smash attack.
That is the point of her magic attacks - she has a charge, cooldown, and stamina cost for each one of them because she cannot instead do combo hits for a smash.[/FONT]
Most of the higher end bosses rape the other classes too, but they don't get the luxury of those manashield hits, and Manashield is completley overpowered in pretty much everything leading up to the jump from Dungeoning to Raids.
Also, Manashield comes back, HP does NOT regenerate.

But mana amber has the tendancy to send evie flying across the room away from a boss, so unless you're the only person left alive. You don't need to spam it.

Even with 10 they could probably take 1 or 2 before it gets to their Health, and 1 shield can only save you from 1 powerful attack, and I really doubt that if you do get hit, you will only get hit once without being a combo most of the time.
Your argument seems to be centered around being in a party, while my playing is composed mostly of soloing - of course she has it easier in parties when she is the Support (although the Healing is not as good for use on soloing than a party), and Mana Amber will save them if they can afford it because the boss will probably start to charge on another player.
By herself? The boss will probably get to her by the time they leave the Amber, and most of the time I'm only moved a few inches rather than launched in the fewer battles I have been in.

Not really arguing against me, all the other classes get to use non instant hp recovery methods, where the boss ususally decides to shift aggro to those using potions.
Manashield is a nice safety net that she has in raids, and completely remove the chance of her losing any hp while going from the begining of the game at lower levels through dungeons. Trash mobs can't even scratch her unless you REALLY try to get mana shield broken.

With golems, Evie can solo Hidden early and rack up those levels. :|

But she's not rubbing her body against bosses, which can be catastrophic against things that turn their entire body into a hitbox.
And evie has those stuns.

The difference in distance (when trying to do the most damage) is nigh on to a few feet as compared to other characters, and if you're talking of bigger bosses, that isn't much of a difference at all.[/FONT]
Anyways, to keep my thoughts on this brief. The majority of Vindictus' players never see this "endgame" that everyone sure is fond of speaking of. A Staff Evie doesn't get too much better as her stats increase, and most Evies will end up still dying in a few hits even after getting the best equipment ever (unless they sacrifice damage). The potential for Fiona, Lann, and Karok with stats are just absurd, but it's a lot harder to reach this potential.
So Evie has a fairly low "skill ceiling" (though I hesitate to call it skill), and a fairly high floor. Every other character has a relatively lower floor (except Fiona) and a much higher cieling.
She isn't OP in theory, and she isn't OP in practice with a bunch of "pros". But for the average player, she does have a much easier time.

You don't need nearly that much as an Evie to take more hits, she just needs to jump into her little mana amber and fly to saftey after being launched by a boss attack.

Lann and Fiona have a lot more defense and hence surivability, and also deal more damage. A well equipped Lann or Fiona >>> Evie
Besides, remember when staff Evie could only heal? Everyone was okay with that for some reason!
Ah, u've underestimated Evie's reverse gravity powers. When a formor is lifted into the air and brought crashing down, everything fomor, including the fomor's innards, are brought upwards and sent crashing down. Thus, crushing the formor's organs within its own body.
