  I reccomend this website. Keep in mind that it'll take along time to load, it's a pretty long scripted page so be patient.

  Now the rules themselves. For the first run me and Nithiel are going to be the DM's of two seperate parties. It'll be set in The Forgotten Realms and it'll be 4th edition so please only use 4th edition books. Yes you can use any book as long as it's 4th edition.
  The books/module we're going to use hasn't been decided yet and it deserves further attention.
  
  When will we play? We don't know yet. Well... best time for me would be on the weekends, atleast wait another two weeks (alot going on) and we have yet to sort out the timezones of the different people.
  
  Map tools! Yes! We will be using something called map tools, please reffer to this post. Please... A round of aplause to Episky for this incredible helpful information.

  The program is called Maptools and can be found here: MapTools
  
  The website has a tutorial section for people that are DM's and it doesn't seem to be that complicated. I'm really bad when it comes to technical stuff and I understood the first 3 or 4 tutorials. It has an inbuilt die rolling system, chat, initiative counter, tokens, etc. (Basically it can do alot - [S]even cure cancer! [/S])
  
  This is just something I wanted to share. I didn't know if you guys were aware of this program, but I figured it couldn't hurt. I personally like the format and all, it gives a lot of flexibility to the DM.

  So are we seriously doing array for determining stats? As I said in one of the other threads, I rolled for my stats, and I ended up with around the same as if I had just done a customized application of my ability score. And besides, even though the standard array is nice so that everyone is on a relatively similar level of stats, it doesn't feel as real as compared to a custom or even rolled. Not everyone shares the same characteristics as another person, and that's what I feel that the standard array gives off as.

  It's the 22 point Customizing Scores method:
  Starting with these six scores: 8, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10.
  You have 22 points to spend on improving them.

  To at least help with that a little I am going to post all the useful stuff I have posted in this one post.
  
  
  First off: Concerning Stats
  [SPOILER="Spoiler"]There are three main methods used in determining starting stats for all players.
  
  Method 1. The Array - Every player is given the numbers "16, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10". They do not have any points to spend or anything, they just pick which number goes to which stat.
  
  Method 2. Rolling - Everyone rolls 3d6 for each stat, giving every stat a possible range of 3-18. This method is probably the least fair as it relies entirely on luck, and while one player may end up with "18, 18, 18, 18, 18, 18" another may end up with "3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3"
  
  Method 3. Point Method - All players are given the numbers "10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 8". They may assign the numbers to whichever stats they want (Even though they are really just picking which one gets the 8) After deciding which stat gets the 8, the player has 22 points(Lets call them PP) to increase his/her stats with.

And no one is perfect, remember to give your character flaws. Motivation is important, why did your character become an adventure? What is he/she seeking to gain from all this? (Hopefully it's something more then just gold, because those characters who care about nothing but gold get boring/annoying fast. <<; )
  
  I can be contacted for a Character Builder program, and a link to download 90% of the 4e books (All the ones you'll need to play and more)
  
  Try and talk to the other players in your group and determine how you would like to say you all met. There are many possibilities for this, including just saying that none of you have ever met and that you all just happened to join the same adventuring company.[/SPOILER]

  I know one thing, I've never seen this many people WANT to be clerics. Normally people are fighting about who is going to be forced to be a cleric. xD

  Same here, I always play the healer-type classes! I'm playing a support cleric too, btw.
  But, don't worry about changing your class or anything! You pick what you want to be :D
  I'm sure there will be space for all of us.
