I hope so too D:
I also was doing some reading on the Player Manual and I came across the Opportunity attacks section.
Apparently, doing either of these three things next to an enemy will cause an opportunity attack:
- Moving normally (NOT Shifting)
- Performing a Ranged attack ... (That includes magic T_T )
- Performing an Area attack
So yeah. All those times I casted something next to an enemy ... [S]My character should have been dead by now.[/S]

Hello everyone, this is a mini-continuation from my last framework guide.
My last guide
can be found here.
Where we last left off, you've just created your new character token and inputted your stats and weapons. Now we can go onto the last major topic which is
Macros.
Macros can be found as many colored buttons to the left of your screen, in the "Selection" window.
To see them, you need to
click on your character token.
You can see that there is a bunch of preset macros on your character. You can delete the ones you don't want/need and create your own. Creating your own macros might take a bit of time to explain, so I'll try and explain it
in another post.
First off, how to delete a macro:
- Under "Setup" hit the red button called "Delete a Power Macro"
- Choose the name of the macro you want to delete.
- ???
- Profit.
Now that's done and over with ... Let's talk about useful macros that are currently already implemented.
Melee Attack/Ranged Attack
If you click one of these two macros, a dialog box should appear.
- Weapon: Choose the weapon you are attacking with. Pretty self-explanatory.
- Attack Mod: Place a numerical number here if you have a temporary bonus to Attack. Remember your Attack is pretty much your accuracy. Leave this at zero, unless you have some buff/debuff affecting your character.
- Damage Mod: Place a numerical number here if you have a temporary bonus to Damage. Remember your Damage is pretty much how much enemy Health is lost. Leave this at zero, unless you have some buff/debuff affecting your character.
- Repeat X times: This will cause the dice roll associated with your attack to be rolled multiple times. Leave the number at 1 (one) if attacking one enemy with your power. Likewise, change the number to 2 (two) if your power can hit two enemies.
- Critical threshold: Leave this at 20. Unless there's a power/ability that allows a critical hit to occur with a dice roll less than 20 - do not change this.
- Supplement: Leave this at None, unless your attack is being done with Charge.
- Targeting: There are three options: None, Textbox or Selection.
The option "None" ... well ... does nothing. The option "Textbox" allows you to type the name of the enemy you are attacking. Whereas "Selection" actually allows you to choose target/targets via their portrait. Choosing Selection however, will cause a delay in everyone's chat windows. Unless everyone has great connectivity, do not choose the "Selection" option.
Action Rolls
These macros allow for your character to do an Ability, Skill, or Saving Throw check.
Just pick the Ability/Skill your character is using and add any additional temporary bonuses. Your Temporary Bonus should be at zero unless you are affected by a buff/debuff.
Combat Sequence
The only key macro here is Roll Initiative. Click on this macro when your character needs to ... well ... roll for initiative! Again, your Temporary Bonus should be at zero unless you are affected by a buff/debuff. Leave the selection of Auto-Sort to list at "No".
Combat Status
These macros allow you to decrease and increase your current HP. Click on the +HP macro to heal yourself and to apply temporary hitpoints. Be sure to check "Expend Healing Surge" if your character is using one.
Click on the -HP macro to deal any damage to your character. If the damage/effect causes you to loose a healing surge, check the box. Otherwise, leave the "Loose Healing Surge" box unchecked.
Click on the Spend AP/Daily Item macro when you want to spend an Action Point (AP point) or use a Daily Item.
Tools
Click on the Earn Milestone macro whenever your character earns a milestone.
Click on the Rest macro whenever you want your character to take a short or extended rest. Ignore the custom code stuff at the bottom. Resting will re-set any encounter/daily abilities and Action points automatically.
Click on the Where am I? macro is order to focus your view directly onto your character token.
This should cover all the basic macro capabilities available to your newly-created character token. I hope this makes the D&D experience a lot smoother. I'll write on how to create and customize your own macros later. Until then, enjoy!

Well, you connected.. But that doesn't really count as joining when you pay no attention to the game and make everyone wait..
And I say that to everyone. You need to pay attention to the game when we are playing. It's rude to make the other 6 people wait because you are playing something else and not paying attention to what's going on. If you need to do something/afk for a while then let the others know first so we aren't sitting there waiting for you forever.

There may not be a game Friday, depending on how much pain I'm in. Apparently I have gal stones. Surgery here I come.

Alright. I'm on enough Vicodin to drop a horse, which means no pain. So, assuming people still get on tonight there will still be a game.

Oh wow. Well, I'm glad your feeling better - even if it's temporary. I guess I'll go on then!

Nothing really happened, there was no gameplay yesterday.
So, I think everyone will try to get together today ... but that doesn't seem to be certain.

Yeah, Nithiel said as much last night after I connected. At least I don't have to re-dl the map @_@
