Ok, I know I've got Hamachi on here somewhere.
But, also, what port were you using when you set it up? It seems weird that a direct connection fails too.

Alright lets test out Hamachi. I made a Hamachi server "Mabination2" password "nation" First lets see if people can connect to that, then we can try Maptools.

Updated Hamachi, but I apparently can't connect to their servers...working on that.
Can connect but apparently hamachi didn't solve it .-.

Ok.. So Arsik and I are on Hamachi and my server still wasn't showing up for Arsik.. So.. We're going to try sending the campaign file to Arsik and seeing if he can host it as a player.

Well, the first DnD game was a success, though less people were on then intended so it was a bit harder then it was supposed to be. It lasted 7 and 1/2 hours (Including the hour trying to get it set up). So anyone that wasn't sure about the time commitment involved, now you know. xD

5/7 though. The only ones missing are Lyre and Mathii. At least, according to the character thread.

I didn't know what I was supposed to do after the connection failed.

We used Hamachi to make a fake LAN then corrected directly using the IP from that. So in order to play everyone needs Maptools and Hamachi.

I see. Would have been nice to know before it was over, but oh well. There's always next time.

Glad we did that test run, seeing as how there were like 8 million bugs that needed fixing. Just to be safe, we should at least make sure everyone knows how to connect at some point.

Haha. Yep. But it was fun, I hope you guys weren't anoyed by me. After that long without sleep, my brain word-filter is shot D:
Overall I thought it was sucessful and most importantly, a fun time! :D
I'm also thinking about posting some information on Map Tools (Set-up and basic functions), just for people.
However, that's dependent on if that framework I suggested get's used ... So yeah. That'll be for later.

I wonder whatever happened to OP. Hasn't posted in a few weeks..

So should we play again tonight, and try to make it a weekly thing like how D&D originally was done, but also allows people that are later interested to know when to show up to play, or at least observe? Or should we just wait until it's a good time with a good number of people before we start an adventure and have random people join in at different times, making work for the DM to try to improve a backstory as to why that character just now appeared in the middle of a long, unexplored dungeon in seemingly little to no time at all.
Just want to know so that if it is going to be a regularly scheduled thing, then I can plan accordingly for the future.
Also on a slightly unrelated note, I slightly changed my character around. While his skills, powers, feats, personality and background are all the same, I just switched his Wisdom and Charisma scores around, and changed the Human ability modifier to that of CHA instead of WIS. I figured that it would fit the character a little better. Can't really see a child of a noble, that is friendly, although could be annoying, have a low Charisma score, while having a pretty good Wisdom score, despite being someone that runs through a dungeon with no regard to his surroundings.

Well, I'm not sure.. Mathii was going to DM I thought, but he seems to have disappeared? If you someone had brought it up earlier I might have been able to get something together for tonight, but at the moment I don't have anything. Guess I could grab another premade map and make up a quick story if enough people are on that want to play tonight. Otherwise we could hoot for tomorrow. Lol.
I would like it to be a weekly thing personally, but I guess it really depends on what everyone else wants to do/how much time they are willing to commit to it.
