Mabination should have an option to include nested quotes when quoting someone. It wouldn't apply to every post, it'd have to be selected each time you want to do it.
It's just that some posts are made entirely out of quotes that you can't fetch because the quote isn't an actual quote.
It could limited to 1 level of nested quotes.

Osay will probably say that he will work on it once we're on the new forums.

"I'll write it down and maybe work on in on the new forums"

Well this is a good time to bring up suggestions like this, then.
And yes, I think a per-post option to pull in nested quotes would be nice, as sometimes you may need to go back a couple of pages just go grab something nested one level back.

You had to go fetch the quotes separately though, and sometimes, for example, an announcement, the entire post is a quote and cannot be be found on the actual forums, and when you go to quote that post, you won't get the main part of the post that's inside a quote.

Quote from Chris:

I think this format works better.
Yeah Alan, that way when reading the thread the quotes are in the same vertical order as they were originally.
Good point Bob, it makes it more readable since the point of nested quotes is mainly to keep a certain conversation chain going, so seeing the last few posts in the correct vertical order they were posted in helps.
Like this.

Just something to add since it wasn't mentioned, several forums have a problem with these quotes being quoted with quotes inside of quotes and it repeats endlessly.

The two methods to stop that issue I've seen...
1 - Refuse to post if there's too many quotes. This has the upside of being easier to implement, but more annoying to the users as after a few chains they need to edit the quotes manually to grab just the latest, or just drop the quotes totally every so often.
2 - Automatically trim any quotes past 5 or so. This is harder to implement, but it's generally accepted that by the time a quote chain hits 5 posts trimming them isn't going to do any harm.
