SOPA sent back to the drawing board

  Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said he was postponing a test vote set for Tuesday "in light of recent events."
  
  So, in other words, because of all of us. Absolutely amazing.
  
  Even the Motion Picture Association's Chris Dodd is awed by what just happened. Here's what he said yesterday:
  “This is altogether a new effect,” Mr. Dodd said, comparing the online movement to the Arab Spring. He could not remember seeing “an effort that was moving with this degree of support change this dramatically” in the last four decades, he added.

  It needs to be thrown away and never seen again and laws passed to make it criminal to try to do such things.

  I really hope this is the point where people start taking the internet seriously in the US. The fact that many countries are already censoring the internet in the eastern hemisphere shows that at least they take the internet seriously... even if it had a pretty bad result.
  
  The internet is serious business~ We need our cat videos. Exposing corruption is cool too, though.
