To preface this, I'd like to say that I only started playing Vindictus again a few days ago... I hadn't played since Open Beta before that point. I wasn't even aware that the game had an enchant system.
I recently got a Kobold enchant scroll while on my main, a Fiona. The enchant gives +30 to attack and goes on a shield, which is nice for me. However, I've been leveling fairly quickly (though I doubt that will last) and unlike in Mabinogi, one seems to outgrow gear somewhat quickly as well.
My question is if I should use the enchant scroll on the shield I have now (the Lv28 shield, Eagle Heart) or maybe buy a higher-level, possibly upgraded shield and try to get Kobold onto that.
Or if +30 attack isn't enough to be worth the hassle of all this wondering.

Since it's going to expire, I'd just try to use the enchant. Don't bother with using Magic Powder as it is far too cost ineffective to spend money on the Elixirs at your level.
Also your Eagle Heart should last until the Lv. 52 Knight's Shield, which should take a casual player over a week to get. I'd just go for an enchant without using any Elixirs (at base rate). Chances are it won't work, but it's worth a shot. 30 Attack isn't all that much in the end.
You might be able to sell it for 100k-300k. I don't know the pricing now, but if you check Nexon forums, you can get a better idea.

Thanks for the quick answer! I'll see about getting it done tomorrow; I'm still a bit uncertain about how enchants really work in this game, but I think I can just read wiki for that kind of information.

I can try to give you a quick explanation.
Every enchant has a rank, this rank relates to it's minimum and maximum enchant success rate (I'll go into this more later). If this rank is above A (9 and 8 right now), it has a chance of blowing up your item on failure.
Anyways, after you select the item and the enchant, you're brought to a minigame. You have the choice of 3 Elixirs, 3-5 Br, 1-10 Br, and 1-50 Br. You can craft these Elixirs at Brynn or buy them off the marketplace. The Magic Powder needed for 2 of these 3 Elixirs costs a ton, so it's best to avoid them if possible. You can use up to 5 Elixirs per attempt.
You start at 0 Br with the success rate at Minimum. The closer you get to 100 Br, the closer to the Maximum enchant success rate you get. If you go over 100, you are reduced to the Minimum rate.
After that, it's just letting the RNG go to work.

I must not have noticed last night, but are there no good shields between levels 28 and 52? How upsetting.
Thanks for the quick explanation; I think I understood it well. I'll give it a go later today then~

There are only 4 Shields between Eagle Heart and Knight's Shield.
Iron Shield - Worse than the Eagle Heart
Slit Plate Shield - Might be worth getting, but it is up to you. You'd only use it for about 4-8 levels though.
Blood Skin Shield - Too much farming of Blood Lord to be worth it.
Ewynsoch Shield - It's a random drop, so there's that. But it's stats aren't that impressive for a Lv. 48 shield.
And then there's the Knight Shield.

I can see the 9 Blood Lord bloods being hard to get (wait i have to fight an upgraded blood prince? ;-; ). I think I'll check the prices on the marketplace first, and then make a choice. I do still have 4 days on the enchant scroll to decide, at least.

Blood Lord is wayyyy harder than Blood Prince and the two aren't very related at all. Blood Lord is, imo, a difficulty level above everything else up until that point.
You can always buy things on the marketplace if you think they're worth the money. I think Blood Lord things aren't cheap, but don't quote me on that.

After looking at marketplace prices for the Blood Skin Shield (none were even on sale!) and then its crafting materials (it'd cost about 600K for me to buy it all now, and I can't even craft it yet), I decided to just use the ES on my Eagle heart. It managed to succeed at 45% rate!
Thanks for the advice~

Yeah, if it costs like 600K to make it, don't even bother...
For 600K, you could get a really nicely enhanced sword/hammer for that level, but you'd be even better off just saving it up because weapons/armor become obsolete quickly.
