Quote from Meowth:
We do have a lot in common. The same Earth, the same air, the same sky. Maybe if we started looking at what's the same instead of always looking at what's different, well who knows?
From Pokemon, the First Movie.

I would, but sadly it's hard to find people who hate almost everyone and like baking in my area.

If there's nothing different and new to keep discovering, then it'd be too boring not having anything different.
Dunno -- Human beings are born creatures who are curious, so of course we all would naturally look for new things...But, it's good to have something the same to relate to once in a while.

I think that being different is part of what makes us Human beings. While I do agree that allot of the problems in society between different cultural groups start because people not respectin or accepting others differences, I still believe that we should just learn to look at these differences and learn to accept them rather than push them under the rug and pretend that they don't exist.
