They'd still be considered African American due to their DNA or something xD
That's like saying a Chinese person born in North America is not Chinese.

:/ We should just differentiate by continents...
Politically correct?
Blacks who are actually from Africa (move here and are still alive) are African-American
that's like calling anyone that's has Mexican heritage "Mexican-American"
or someone who's father moved here from Germany before they were born "German-American"
Black people are just black.
So despite the fact that both of my parents are from Mexico, I have no Mexican in me? I wonder how that works. It's like when I was born here, all my Mexican DNA was removed!
A *blank*-American is an American of *blank* descent. Being born in the United States does not stop someone from being of that descent. I was, in fact, born in America, and I am, in fact, a Mexican-American, of Mexican descent.
No, black people aren't just African-American, so in that sense, it's not correct. However, the logic that someone isn't the "something" in "something"-American fails because by definition, a "something"-American is an American of "something" descent, not someone that was born in "some place" and came to America.
Also: Brad, My NX. Some time before the one-year anniversary would be nice. Dx
^It may be because the descendants now were brought from various places? I mean, they might not even know which country their families originated from. That being said, I do find it weird that those that do know don't get their *country*-American.
