It also probably looks cleaner and more crisp.

It's cheaper to do. Quicker to do. And you can use more shortcuts animating digitally than you can with hand done traditional animating.
With manga, there's more.. insurance, if you will, when inking and toning. Since if you mess up you can start over on another layer. Traditional inking and toning is a lot harder and the overall result is very hard to imitate digitally.

this, redline took 7 years to make. Any anime you watch these days must be done in some weeks so it can air weekly

According to Tim Maughan of Anime News Network, Redline was released several years later than originally planned. Its development took seven years and used 100,000 hand-made drawings.
This is why people don't do hand-drawn animation anymore.

the cat is asking why digitally drawn anime is usually less detailed

Trailer music makes me think of fast-paced MP shooters.

Hand drawn has a different feel of fluidity in it. Hand drawn can incorporate a faded look (duller colors) to give it that Disney, studio Glibi feel to it.
Hand drawn will take a considerably longer time to do than digital.
Digital can be more crisp, the lines will be more uniform and the colors can be more vibrant.
Digital can be done incredibly quick. It can attempt to imitate hand drawn but you'll just know.

I'm a bit confused as to what digital animation you're talking about, because digital animation can be hand-drawn, too...

^ Bob most likely means drawn with a paint tool on the computer. Hand drawn as old fashioned ink and paper.
