I swear. When you submit a post or something, the submit and/or edit button should get disabled.
Yes I know it's easier to not touch them and wait for the dang thing to submit but all the same. Some people not be that smart.
I just ended up accidently double posting as I submitted my post and then edited it while it was still submitting and that somehow led to it double posting.
Stupid connectivity....

I've doubleposted accidentally when I've only clicked the button once though :( I've seen a ton of doubleposts lately

It just happens. Delete one of your double posts and move on.

There's two issues with that, depending on the route taken.
1 - The disable is purely client-sided. Well in this case if you have a disconnect and the post doesn't get sent, your browser still knows you clicked the button so you can't re-post unless you copy your post content and refresh the page, paste it, and submit it.
2 - The disable is triggered by a response from the server. If there's a disconnect then it's possible that your client doesn't get the notice that the post submitted (which is the issue with double-posting), so the button wouldn't disable anyways and you'd still double-post after clicking it.

Duplicate replies from the same user should be caught and a lil pop up comes up. Should be an option for that

I noticed it's been happening a lot more lately. I've been doing a lot of post-deleting. l:

I've been noticing it happen to me a few times, though I'm blaming my own connection for that.
It's unavoidable, but at least Nation lets you delete posts. Makes me feel better at least. ;-;

Ya I suppose. That's generally what I do anyways. I just thought I'd bring it up. Glad to know that I'm not alone in this boat though. Thanks guys!

Yeah I've seen some forums that, when you post, compares the post content to other posts you made in the past few minutes to avoid double-posts, this is a much more reliable method of stopping it.
