Prologue of prequel
The time is probably the 21st Century. In the Hinomoto Kingdom where the king has the kingdom under control with somewhat of peace, 3 rookie military officers, Haru, Natsuki, and Touma, are assigned with a very special mission: To protect the King's daughter! The three rejoice at this unexpected mission that their lieutenant provided them with, and they quickly arrive at the princess' room but find out that the princess is different than what they had expected..... A princess guardian comedy now begins!

Hmm? The premise of Hayate is Hayate has to pay off a debt, Haru here has to make Terrass into a proper lady or he'll be beheaded. Nagi is not NEET she's an otaku, and she still has somewhat of a social life. Terrass is NEET and an Otaku with 0 social life and she's a real princess not just rich. Hayate is awesome, Haru is...not awesome.

Meh they're close but they're not exactly the same.

Just let it grow :3

Well you're making it far too specific. Thats like saying I could have a series about a ninja in a light blue jump suit screaming "UNDERSTAND IT!" obnoxiously is not more or less the same thing as Naruto.

1. Its both a series about a dependable male servant and a spoiled rich female.
2. Spoiled rich female is a shut in and does not enjoy social interactions (Nagi is considered a neet. She does not go to school most of the time, and only goes out when Hayate makes her).
3. Male protagonist is in a tight situation where he must do his work.
4. There is comedic romance.

Overall the series is identical.
