I wouldn't necessarily say bananas are bad for you. But out of all the fruits, its probably the least fruit like fruit as far as its nutrition content goes. Its a very different type of fruit.
But its by no means bad for you. It has a small amount of protein and dietary fiber, and has plenty of potassium. Its a bit hefty in calories compared to other fruits, but all of this means its actually ideal to have a banana as a replacement for a snack or a simple breakfast. It'll fill you up, and give you the protein, fiber, and potassium you'd normally need for a morning start.
Thats why something like a strawberry banana smoothie is a good breakfast drink. Strawberries cover the vitamins, the milk covers the calcium, and the banana covers the rest.
Then again, Orange Juice will actually do the same, so its really your call ._.
I like Strawberry Banana smoothies more than I like Orange Juice.
