  They'd bounce on the smash so there wouldn't be any knockback and ergo no leap attack, but it'd work if you remove the windmill.

  Sounds like they might go even further on the 'pure mage only' route. Wands were a step in that direction since it made intermediate magic unavailable to those just dabbling unless they went into mage mode for a while.

  It'd be kinda dumb to switch from Staff to Wand though. Like casting Hailstorm to casting Ice Spear, unless they have Elemental Staves, which allow for both.

  Er, as you guys know.. Fireball, Ice spear, and Thunder were considered as intermediate magic in Korea mabi, and now we're getting advanced magic spells, such as Hailstorm.
