Okay this is help with a program.. it's pretty much like Word so if you don't use it you might be able to help. But anyways, I have a novel I wrote, and I put page count on it.
In books it has the cover, the credits, etc, and then on the Prologue the numbers begin. However, it counts the other pages too. So it starts at 3 when I want it to start at 1. I've researched around a bit but I'm either doing it wrong or I'm looking at the wrong stuff :<
Any guesses are much appreciated.

I have LibreOffice, which is a more active branch of OpenOffice. Here you can set pages as title pages and have the page numbering start after them. Format > Title Page...
I'm guessing that it works the same way in OpenOffice.

I use open office, and from what I know, you can't. I tried doing that for my English essay, and I ended up numbering in pen.
