Well I have a giant mule and I been wanting to upgrade my gladius but the thing is that I never proffed a melee wep before.

You could get Lightning Elementals and prof at Wisps.
Most people I know have an age 25+ Human and AFK at the Golden Spider in the Malcom's Ring quest.

Wisp prof method works quite well.

I've never gotten the golden spider trick to work. O.o

Wisp is better IMO. You don't even need to pot. Less HP you have, the better. Your restoration rate will be faster, fast enough to not need to pot. Make sure you have 9 Elemental. Not 8, 9. If your profing a 2h weapon, use a giant. If your profing a 2h giant weapon, then 8 is alright but you might want to check more than you normally would. Some at Spirial Mountain is a good spot where people won't bother you, some dire wolfs but you can avoid them.

I see people say this, but I don't know where they get it from. As far as I can tell, my HP regenerates the same at 1 HP as it does at 300 - it just
looks faster because there's less of it.
Edit:
- Life will naturally regenerate at a constant rate of 1 point for every 8 seconds passed.
From the wiki.
I also windmilled a couple bears with 195 and 5 HP. Counting in my head, it took 7 seconds at both totals to recover 1 point, which matches up with what the wiki says.

Not sure if it was just me but when I was profing on my somewhat higher level mule with certain skills fairy high due to being noob when I made it, I would have to pot every now and then. Then I remade a new mule (no skill ranked up). Never needed a single pot.
Although I can't say for sure, haven't played in like forever.

Heard you can use The golden spider in albey if you get the basic quest thing from malcom idk how to get it orrr if its sendable anyways you do 1 damage to it it does 1 damage to you whatever you hit it with 1 damage only soooo pretty much its the best place to prof. melee weapons lol or your armor's prof. either way lol ^^

Is there a place where I can find a Wisp alone? I only know of the one around Dunbarton bears and the one around white dire wolves in the map north of Dunbarton.

Proffing melee weapons is easy. Here is a simple process.
1) Equip the melee weapon
2) Find a monster
3) Whack the monster
4) Profit
5) Go back to step 2
Repeat as necessary.

it's the fastest and most expensive way to gain prof...
but you need nx, so do plenty of surveys!
single wield 100 prof in an hour or so (2 tender pots)
