So I tried to record something with my mic, but no sound was received. So, I thought it was broken and tried my other one, doesn't work. It records all slow and when I play it back it sounds all static-ish. From there I know that there's nothing wrong with the mics, so it had to be my computer. Any ideas how to fix that?

Your microphone is not set as the default recording device. As such, whenever you try to record something, the computer is trying to get the audio from a different port/device, and you get nothing. :P
To set the mic as the default device, right click the speaker icon in the notification area, select Recording devices, and set the mic to default there. Those steps are for Windows 7; under a different version of Windows, the steps may be a bit different but the general idea is the same. Just play around with the control panel and you'll find it.

Then you may need to adjust mic volume and enable "mic boost" if your sound chip's control panel supports it.
