Just curious, what were some of your childhood dreams and have they influenced your dreams today?
When I was five I wanted to be a comedian, or chameleon as I couldn't figure out how to pronounce it. A little while later I wanted to be an artist. However once I turned six and went to kindergarten I wanted to be either a fireman, police officer, or an EMT. The next year, however I wanted to be an ornithologist. That dream lasted till I turned twelve and was in sixth grade. By then my parent had been going on about finding a good job that pays well to be able to support myself, so I thought about being a politician for a while. But then I realized that it required public speaking skills, so that died quickly. A few months into middle school I had to use this program that made suggestions based on what I inputted into it and from that I decided on being an environmental lawyer. That plan lasted a good whole day. Three years later I kinda went around in a circle. I plan on getting my Cisco CCNET certification to later get CCNP certified. I also plan on getting my EMT certification once I get out of high school. I figure that I'll work part time as I go to college (still no idea on that) as I work my way to a job in law enforcement. Odds are that this will change, but I find it funny that I made a giant circle to right where I started.
Did anybody make a circle at some point in their life?

that is adorable XD
and my dreams today are much different than they were when I was a child
most of my childhood I wanted to be a veterinarian (I believe from ages 7-14) but eventually I wanted to do other things
a career in psychology, astronomy and then settled on chemistry
they're all science-related but that's about it :(

When I was playing games from newgrounds as a kid, that was the coolest thing in the world for me. I wanted to make games like that. Of course, as I grew up, I did not enjoy those games as much since I found mmorpgs, so that idea kinda went down the drain. I had dreams of becoming a rapper, etc. Now I'm in college doing electrical science and computer science. I guess that can be related to my first dream. I always wanted to be a pokemaster. :(

I remember when I was in Kindergarten and I would always draw and or paint at every lunchtime because I didn't know how to speak English like the other kids. As much as I wanted to be able to play house with them, or as much as I wanted to play other things together with them, I couldn't. Although, I've developed quite a deep interest in art and such now, because it was one of the only things I enjoyed in my childhood.
My parents always made me wear these guy clothes and my hair was really really short so I actually looked like a guy from Kindergarten to around 4th grade. Then they would make me wear dresses for whenever I had to do plays on the stage --- Even when I had choir performances. But, from choir, I ended up taking a liking to singing.
...And yet I can't sing in public because I don't like a lot of people watching me.

Art just influenced me a lot, since it was the only thing I could do.

I had a few different ideas as a kid, but the most prevalent was probably my dream of becoming a Vet. That later blossomed into a dream of becoming a Doctor (which lasted until I was 15 or so), and now my dream is to become a Coroner.
So while my dream has obviously changed, it's still technically within the same field.

I wanted to be an astronomer when I was younger. The stars always would interest me. Everybody would always think I was crazy, you know, for not wanting to be a doctor or a police officer or a lawyer. Still working on that dream as we speak, with me going to school for that and all.
I always wanted to travel around the world when I was younger too. Travel around the world and make people laugh and smile.
I'm gonna do that one day.

I wanted to be the blue, white or black one. Cause I thought red was overrated. Funny since I mostly wear black, gray, white and red.

Ever since i first got a SNES system ive wanted to be a video game developer.
Im going for a degree in computer science right now, with a focus in programing "at least thats why my advisor says, i think". Anyway, im also taking art classes now because i want to be able to do everything, the art, music, gameplay, storyline, programing, all of it.
I know thats going to be very difficult, so for now im focusing on learning just art and programing, so i was thinking something along the lines of a major in computer science minor in art/graphic art. (probably graphic art id guess, but i dont know)
Anyway i figure ill be an indie! with my cousin, probably as were shooting for the same goal. Not a very realistic? dream, but its one im going to do no matter what (and with the computer science degree i can do a ton of other stuff too if im broke or my games are not selling, like work on computers.
