**This is a direct translation from the guide written by GM 카누크 of the KR devCAT team**

In the freezing cold lands of Physis lives the tough and powerful Giants, strong enough to withstand any attack. This time, we'll be looking at the defensive skill, Wind Guard.

* Wind Guard is a skill exclusive to Giants only.

1. What is Wind Guard?

Wind Guard is a skill which creates a barrier of gust around your body, allowing you to take any attack without being knocked over. This skill raises your defense against melee and ranged attacks, but is less effective against magic.

* When your stamina is 0, this skill automatically cancels.
* You cannot move while using this skill.

2. Learning Wind Guard

A) Receiving the Quest

To receive the Wind Guard quest, your character must first have the skill Assault. Talk to Wovoka about skills to receive a quest for Assault if you do not already have the requirements.

Once you have this skill, talk to Krug about skill in the npc dialog book. He will give you the Wind Guard quest, and hand you a Miracle Ciar Fomor Pass.

Krug will mention a way to learn the ways of the defensive if you can go to a special dungeon in Karu Forest. But to go there, you must first create a special item.

[Image: http://file.mabinogi.com/data/Hint/61883623.jpg]

The item you require is a Shining Diamond. To make this item, use handicraft along with one diamond and two clear orbs. You must be at least rank B to create this item.

* It is possible to trade the Shining Diamond or Clear Orbs with other players.

~ Clear Orb

Clear Orbs are obtained via Handicraft. To make one, you will need a Recovered Fire Orb, Recovered Lightning Orb, and a Recovered Ice Orb. You can find Orbs by treasure hunting in the Courcle region.

Use the L rod to find an artifact in the Courcle region. Using your bare hands, click on the artifact to recieve a piece of it. Talk to Voight with these artifacts and he will recover it for you. There is a chance it will be one of the three elemental orbs.

~ Diamond

Visit a shore and use the sifting skill to find a Diamond. To start the quest to learn the sifting skill, talk about skills with Effie in the Kalla Base camp. Note that Diamonds are the rarest jewel you can find.

E) Karu Forest Ruins

Karu Forest Ruins is located somewhere within the Karu Forest of Iria. The location will not always be the same, so look carefully on your map to find it.

To continue on with your quest, use the Shining Diamond as a pass. This dungeon is 3 floors long, and you will meet a Shining Stone Bison at the boss room.

Floor 2: Stone Mimic, Stone Bison, Mask Goblin

3. How to Use Wind Guard

[Image: http://file.mabinogi.com/data/Hint/61883637.jpg]

To use Wind Guard, you must have a shield equipped. Remember that you cannot move while using this skill.

[Image: http://file.mabinogi.com/data/Hint/61883640.jpg]

While you are using the Wind Guard skill, you not flinch or be knocked back by enemy attacks. During this state, you can attack your enemies with melee or use the Taunt skill, but nothing else.

* Skills like Smash, Counter, Windmill, or any other knock down skills will not stun you or knock you over.

Remember that this skill will drain your stamina as you use it. Once you have reached 0 stamina, the skill will cancel. You cannot start this skill if you do not have enough stamina either.

[Image: http://file.mabinogi.com/data/Hint/61883645.jpg]

Wind Guard has a cooldown timer. Once you have used it, you cannot use it again for a certain period of time.

[Image: http://file.mabinogi.com/data/Hint/61883647.jpg]

While using Wind Guard, you cannot use any other skills with exception to Taunt. Taunt is a skill which lures enemy monsters into attacking you.

* When taunt is used with wind Guard, you will have a special shield pounding animation.

Once your taunt skill is complete, you will return to your Wind Guard position. If your Wind Guard timer ends during your taunt, you will just return to your normal combat position.

If you are hit during the use of Taunt in the middle of Wind Guard, you will not be stunned or knocked back.

5. Guide End
